Lady manually prepares lime juice to be used for dinner service, she concentrates on squeezing the limes to minimise wastage of the restaurant's ingredients. According to her, this is one of her daily responsibilities at work.

One of Old Bibik's Kitchen's Chef preparing Crispy Omelette, one of the signature dishes of the restaurant. The cooking style and taste of Crispy Omelette are claimed to be different from other restaurants, the egg is first dropped into the pan from a height then fried.

A view from outside Old Bibik's Kitchen. Located at 328 Joo Chiat Road, the restaurants adopt the traditional style of an open restaurant with a signboard made from wood, as well as many old photographs framed and hung inside the restaurant to show the history of the Peranakan.

Running the stall with Charlie for more than a decade, is his dedicated wife Amy. They had moved from Bukit Merah, to Katong and finally to Golden Mile. With the strong passion for Peranakan cooking, Charlie and his wife brings the fondest tastes of Peranakan food their customers till today.

A plate of Buah Keluak Ayam, 'ayam' translates to 'chicken' from Malay. The flavours from this plate would definitely be an acquired taste. Buah Keluak nut grows from a poisonous tree containing hydrogen cyanide, only when it is properly handled can it be savoured as such.

Archar, pickles prepared in a Peranakan style. Packed with a refreshing taste of sweetness, sourness and a crunchy texture. Being one of the most popular dish of Charlie's Peranakan Food stall. It is a must to order the Archar which goes well with any dish there.

A meal with the flavours of Authentic Peranakan recipes that has never been changed since it was passed down from the ancestors of Peranakans. The three dishes serves four people are priced reasonably and the portions are just right.

Customers enjoy their food at Charlie's Peranakan Food over a chit chat to catch up on their secondary school days. It was the first time patronising the stall and they left with a smile, pleased with their orders Charlie had recommended.
